    Try to use this PERL5LIB (all one line) in etc/lpar2rrd.cfg
    PERL=/opt/freeware/bin/perl
    PERL5LIB=/home/lpar2rrd/lpar2rrd/vmware-lib:/opt/freeware/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.8:/opt/freeware/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.8/ppc-thread-multi:/usr/lib64/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.8:/usr/opt/perl5/lib/site_perl/5.8.8:/usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.8:/usr/lib64/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.8:/opt/freeware/lib/perl/5.8.0:/opt/freeware/lib/perl/5.8.8:/usr/opt/perl5/lib/site_perl/5.8.2:/usr/opt/perl5/lib/site_perl/5.8.8/aix-thread-multi:/opt/freeware/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.8/ppc-thread-multi

    . /home/lpar2rrd/lpar2rrd/etc/lpar2rrd.cfg
    /opt/freeware/bin/perl /home/lpar2rrd/lpar2rrd/vmware-lib/apps/connect.pl
  • Well, kind of progress. The variable made no difference for 'connect.pl --version' problem, but GUI provides "configure" page, I added credentials and "Test" buttons reports a success.

    load.sh reported some issues:
    Fault string: Permission to perform this operation was denied.
    Fault detail: NoPermissionFault
    SOAP Fault:
    -----------
    Fault string: Permission to perform this operation was denied.
    Fault detail: NoPermissionFaultdate end all : Tue Mar 8 10:02:43 CET 2016
    But obviously it managed to connect to vmware server.

    And there are no graphs on web yet. Pehaps it will take some time and thay will appear
  • Hi
    can you connect vCenter from cmd line with your credentials like that:
    /opt/freeware/bin/perl /home/lpar2rrd/lpar2rrd/vmware-lib/apps/connect.pl --server --username --password
    Your user should have read access to whole vCenter - all folders.
  • the commands works. I would say it is OK now, only I still wait till I see the graphs from vmware...
  • send us logs:

    cd /home/lpar2rrd/lpar2rrd # or where is your LPAR2RRD working dir
    tar cvhf logs.tar logs etc tmp/*txt # do not miss "h" option in tar
    gzip -9 logs.tar

    Send us logs.tar.gz via https://upload.lpar2rrd.com
  • logs sent. It is not urgent....
