San Topology

I have a lot of fabrics the first one works fine. I Get pages for 3 others all say Haven't been found any SAN connections for this fabric
I have 6 brocades and 8 Cisco switches not sure its probably  a config issue on my side but cant seem to find anything that states how to fix it.

  • Hi JohnHerbert,

can you try to generate the following file?

cd /home/stor2rrd/stor2rrd # or where is your STOR2RRD working dir
    . etc/stor2rrd.cfg ; $PERL bin/ 2>&1 | tee tmp/show_SAN_topology.txt

    Send us logs then.
Note a short problem description in the text field of the upload form.

cd /home/stor2rrd/stor2rrd # or where is your STOR2RRD working dir
    tar cvhf logs.tar logs tmp/*txt
    gzip -9 logs.tar

    Send us logs.tar.gz via

    will do

  • Hi JohnHerbert,

we haven't implemented it for Cisco yet.
If you could provide us config files I can implement it.

cd /home/stor2rrd/stor2rrd/ # or where is your STOR2RRD working dir
    tar -czvf config-json-logs.tar.gz data/*/config.json
    Send us config-json-logs.tar.gz via

  • Hi JohnHerbert,

    implementation for Cisco is done

Gunzip it and copy to /home/stor2rrd/stor2rrd/bin (755, stor2rrd owner)

    -rw-r--r-- 1 stor2rrd stor2rrd 119972 Jul 15 13:52

If your web browser gunzips it automatically then just rename it: mv

Assure that file size is the same as on above example

test it and let us know,

  • sorry I haven't gotten back sooner however we went through a reorg here and I have been on other things.  so the only thing I see new is the trunks in cisco switches still no switch to storage for cisco.
