Can't locate in @INC (you may need to install the SNMP module)

I have tried to install the net-snmp-perl in Azure VM(CentOS 8) by following the stor2rrd LAN installation steps.
While installing,

[root@DEV ~]# yum install net-snmp-perl
Last metadata expiration check: 0:49:44 ago on Tue 03 Mar 2020 11:28:31 AM UTC.
No match for argument: net-snmp-perl
Error: Unable to find a match

Facing the above error. Not able to understand why I'm getting this error.
It's seems like CentOS 8 is not supporting net-snmp-perl package.

But, I've added the LAN switch and test the results.
It's gave the below error.
Can't locate in @INC (you may need to install the SNMP module)

Can please help me on this.

  • Hi,

we have already seen this issue before.

    1. You have to remove installed modules.

    yum remove  net-snmp net-snmp-libs net-snmp-agent-libs net-snmp-utils

    2. Download these packages from: --> CentOS8 --> OKey x86_64
    # yum install ./net-snmp-perl-5.8-7.el8.2.x86_64.rpm ./net-snmp-5.8-7.el8.2.x86_64.rpm ./net-snmp-utils-5.8-7.el8.2.x86_64.rpm ./net-snmp-libs-5.8-7.el8.2.x86_64.rpm ./net-snmp-agent-libs-5.8-7.el8.2.x86_64.rpm
    # rpm -qa| grep snmp

It should help, let us know, thanks.
