Device alive alert for storage

Is there any mechanism in Stor2rrd by which we can get alert/notification if the storage device is down or not available on Network

Hi,

no, we do not do ping tests, this is something what networking monitoring tools like nagios, zabix .... do quite well.

However if there is no data for last 6 hours for a storage then we send a HW alert.
