Stor2RRD 2.50 Reporter Feature

Hi !

The Reporter feature of version 2.50 has been greatly improved, it's now possible to define a time range instead of recurrence, thanks !

Small remark tho, how is the page order defined in the PDF version ?

Here is my report template :

The report is 4 pages : BEBRSW37, CUSTOM-GROUPS, BEBRSW38, SPDG1K01B ... Strange no ?

Also it would be very handy to have the report name as the 1st page in the PDF, you know how executives like to have nice reports :)

Great tool, great team, thanks !

Martin

  • Hi,

    thanks for feedback.

    PDF structure is designed for reports with more than 5 graphs.
    Each storage/switch and their subsystems are separated by new page.

    Bookmarks tree in the PDF file should looks like in this example:

    storage1 -> POOL   -> pool1
    -> pool2 -> VOLUME -> vol1 -> vol2 storage2 -> POOL -> pool1 -> ... etc.

    Report name in header at first page is not a problem. We will implement that.

  • Hi,

    report name on the first page:

    -rwxrwxr-x 1 lpar2rrd lpar2rrd 136061 Feb 18 15:58 bin/reporter.pl
    Gunzip it and copy to /home/lpar2rrd/lpar2rrd/bin (755, lpar2rrd owner)

    If your web browser gunzips it automatically then just rename it: mv reporter.pl.gz reporter.pl
    Assure that file size is the same as on above example

  • sorry, this one it is:

    -rwxrwxr-x 1 stor2rrd stor2rrd 107058 Feb 18 16:05 bin/reporter.pl
    Gunzip it and copy to /home/stor2rrd/stor2rrd/bin (755, stor2rrd owner)

    If your web browser gunzips it automatically then just rename it: mv reporter.pl.gz reporter.pl
    Assure that file size is the same as on above example

  • Thanks Pavel, will it be implemented in next version ? Or is a fix to reapply each time ?

  • it will be in the next version 2.51
