HMC Data without direct access
We are planning to set up an LPAR2RRD Web Server. The problem is that the web server is not able to connect to the HMC directly. On the other hand, we cannot install all LPAR2RRD required RPMS ont the machine which is connected to the HMCs. So the question would be: Is there a way to separate the real data collection (via OS Agent as well as from the HMC) in to two sections:
1. Collect data only and save them to a directory
2. Import all data on the lpar2rrd server
I am aware that we could use nmon files in this way but we really would need the HMC data as well in order to see the pools inside the managed systems.

Hi,proxy mode is actually not possible for HMC data. However we are working on HMC REST API as data source implementation which will be able to work in proxy mode (the agent collects data from the HMC and then sends it to lpar2rrd server).Expected release Sep/Oct 2018.More details here: http://www.lpar2rrd.com/roadmap.htm
