Graphing additional counter(s) from VMware ESX Hosts
in VMware
hello,
I would be interested in being able to record and graph additional counters from VMware (specifically Disk (ms) response) from the overview in performance tab, or 'highest latency' in the advanced graphing. The counter is 'maxTotalLatency'.
Is there any documentation I can try and use to get these?
thanks

Hi,
disk latency is already implemented: http://demo.lpar2rrd.com/?menu=d94bf19&tab=4
Highest latency is not a good idea. It does not say too much especially on low utilized disks (IO) where max latency might be very very high.
But if there is a few IOPS then this is not important at all.
From our point only average latency is something what admins should take care.
