permission denied issues when upgrading

Having issues upgrading to any version above where we currently are, which is 2.2.19. Getting this type of error consistently ..

Error: Error: EACCES, Permission denied: /home/xormon/server-nest/microservices '/home/xormon/server-nest/microservices'

Anyone else having this issue? If so, how did you resolve it?
