XorMon NG graph not adjustable

When a big latency for whatever reason (storage, network, etc.) was happening the Y-axis choose by xormon is so big, that I can't see anything else. I know I can use the Hoover but is not convenient. See the image below. Is there a way to change the axes values to make everything visible?

  • Hi,

we do not know how to do it apart of removing peak data (automatically??) but then we will not present any peak.

How to define such peak for removal? It could be different for every device, metric ... no way to do it automatically. perhaps to enable users to remove selected data ion their own ...

we do not see a way what to do with that, we present what we get, we cannot modify data for users to make nice graphs.

Let us know if you have any idea.

  • we could just provide some CLI based cmds to remove that particular peak

  • Hi Pavel,

    Thank you for you answer!

If I can choose myself the max value for Y-axis, that will make it visible. For my case, let's say I will choose the max to be 40 ... the peak will become flat at 40 and everything else will be visible.

I know this is not easy to implement, so, I will take your offer "we could just provide some CLI based cmds to remove that particular peak", please. I've to remove the peak to not have the entire year only with that peak.

    Regards,

    Mihai

  • Hi Pavel,

Any news with the CLI commands to remove the peak?

    Thanks,

Pavel, I've another idea ... for storages, depending on what kind of disks are used - SATA, SAS, SSD, there are cap latency specific for every type. For example, for SATA, max latency for a normal response is under 20 milliseconds. So, you can use Y-axis with let's say 50-100 milliseconds max. For me, important is to see when is more than 20. If I use the "Hover" this is what I see, and this is what I need. The peak is not giving me any valuable information and for the peak, you can use a marker to give me the value on a pop-up box, when I'm using the cursor
