Agent 8.10-0 fills /var/tmp on AIX
Hi there,
we do run lpar2rrd 7.92 free and updated the agent from 8.00-2 to 8.10-0. Since then, /var/tmp gets filled with three files
lpar2rrd-agent-(lpar2rrd_servername)-root.txt, .txtorig and -root-last.txt
at a rate of several hundred megabytes per hour. As far as I can tell, all files contain identical data, and the same as the agent.logfile (defined in crontab).
Is running agent 8.1 and server 7.92 a valid combination?

well, 8.10 is intended for XorMon NG, there are special enhancements (LVM info, errpt log ...) for it but generally it should work with LPAR2RRD server even older versions
send us via support@xorux.com :
ls -ltr /var/tmp/lpar*
and logs from the lpar2rrd server
Note a short problem description in the text field of the upload form.
under lpar2rrd user:
cd `cat ~/.lpar2rrd_home`
gzip -9 logs.tar
Send us logs.tar.gz via https://upload.lpar2rrd.com
