QNAP - job fetch -error
Hello,
Just intstalled xormon-ng 1.8.4 and can't process one QNAP device (TVS-463).
The QNAP service error log cantains:
2025-03-13 09:00:01: malformed JSON string, neither tag, array, object, number, string or atom, at character offset 0 (before "cat: /tmp/stor2rrd-T...") at /home/xormon/xormon-ng/server-nest/microservices/qnap/QNAP.pm line 1183.
Any ideas :) ?
Thank you

Hello,
was this QNAP device working in Xormon NG before 1.8.4 or is it fresh install and newly added QNAP?
Send us logs from Xormon NG please:
UI --> settings --> Logs --> support logs: follow the form
Send us generated file via https://upload.xormon.com
Note a reference pls.

It is a new deployment. Logs sent... Thank you

Hello,
do you connect to QCENTER as stated in docu here?
https://xormon.com/storage/monitoring/QNAP/QNAP-monitoring.php
Also QNAP name in Xormon NG settings should be same as the Server name in QCENTER. Can you also check on this?
-
Sorry, I thought it can be done via direct connection.
I'll reconfigure now.
Thank you!

@JiriDutkaJr And is it possible to run the QCENTER localy on the monitored QNAP NAS device?
-
Hello,
it could be working but we have no experience with this deployment.
In our testing lab QNAP and QCENTER are on different machines and this works even for other users.
If you are going to try this could you please let us know if that worked?

It didn't work. I've installed it locally but still it can't fetch data
