Procedure to rename storage

Hi all,
Other than removing and re-adding (which I haven't tried and presume removes old data)
Is there a simple way to rename a storage array (ibm storwise)?

Sorry, to clarify, I mean the alias label for the GUI, manager wants to see locations in the label rather than the original alias I applied
