AIX LPAR, all vscsi adapters not showing on agent 7.00-1

Hi any news on a fix for this?

        $adapter_values = "$name,$bytes_sec,$io_sec,$bytes_sec_read,$bytes_sec_write";
      } ## end if ( $adapter_name =~ ...)
    } ## end if ( $type =~ /^Adapter|^Vadapter/...)
print "*******  ADA00  $adapter_name \n\n\n";
    if ( $line =~ /^hdisk/ && $adapter_name =~ /^fcs|^vscsi|^sissas|^sisi/ ) {
      $line =~ s/\s+/,/g;
print "*******  ADA  $adapter_name \n\n";

  • Hi,

    what is wrong here? montoring of vscsi on AIX works fine generally, at least in our labs
  • we have two vscsi on the lpar they are set up with alternate priority so they are both being used.

    hdisk0 vscsi0=1 vscsi1=2
    hdisk1 vscsi0=2 vscsi1=1

    But it only sending data for vscsi0

    When I look at the lpars in lpar2rrd there is only data for vscsi0

    0.47 5.77

  • Hi,

    it is a know issue on AIX, iostat reporting it bad, we summarize hdisk traffic from this output:
    iostat -Dsal 60 1

  • OK thank you.
