Some 3Par Arrays Not Collecting Data

Version 2.61 - Virtual Appliance

We have multiple 3Par arrays defined (20850 and 8440).  2 of the 8440's are not collecting data.

I double-checked the definitions and manually reset the pwf file with the following command:

/opt/hp_3par_cli/bin/ ./cli setpassword -saveonly -file /home/lpar2rrd/stor2rrd/etc/.3par-10.11.12.13.pwf -sys 10.11.12.13

The error logs for these arrays only show the following error over and over:
Tue Nov 26 10:10:10 2019 ERROR   : hp3parperf.pl: Command showversion failed with code 255

Manually running a "showuser" with the 3Par CLI works fine.
   ./cli -sys 10.11.12.13 -pwf /home/lpar2rrd/stor2rrd/etc/.3par-10.11.12.13.pwf showuser
       Username Domain Role   Default
       stor2rrd all    browse N

When I run "config-check.sh" on the arrays, it locks up during the CLI check.

Any idea what could be wrong with these 2 arrays?  Any idea what "code 255" is?

    send us complete output of
    su - lpar2rrd
    cd /home/stor2rrd/stor2rrd
    ./bin/config_check.sh <storage name>

    tail logs/error.log-<storage anme>
    tail logs/output.log-<storage name>

    better upload it to us due to privacy purposes

    I eventually got it working.  I had to add those 2 arrays to the old "storage-list.cfg" file.  For HPE 3Par, some scripts must still be referencing that file.

    Hi,

    if you have stor2rrd 2.60+ then nothing reads storage-list.cfg.
    Pls let us know what you have done, it is weird.
