NetApp FAS-A300 - Test connection problem
Hello everybody,
I'm testing the stor2rrd product, to check the data in our enviroment (a cluster of two aff-a300).
The tool version is the one supplied with the latest appliance:
I've configured the new storage, using as vendor the AFF-A-series device.
But when I try the connection test, this is the output:
API host network connection: TCP connection to 10.46.4.89:443 is OK.
Crontab test: OK

It seems like not a normal connection issue, but a different sets of command. Does anybody have the same issue during the connection test? Thanks in advance for the support. Matteo

Hi,what storage is that exactly?
-
Hi Pavel,
the storage is an AFF-A300, running 9.3P13.
Thanks

Hi,have you followed CMODE or 7mode configuration in https://www.stor2rrd.com/NetApp-monitoring.htm?Try to conifgure it in the UI --> storage as NetApp FAS CDOT, if that does not work then try FAS 7modeLet us know.

Hi Pavel,
I've changed the storage device into FAS CDOT, and after few days of testing all works correctly. The device name "AFF-A-series" fooled me, thinking of a dedicated connection.
Thanks for your very quick support.

Hi,ok your right, it is FAS CDOT in fact.So far AFF A-series behavies like FAS 7MODE what is wrong. We will fix it in the next release, use CDOT till then.
Howdy, Stranger!
