Can we discover Devices with FQDN
in LAN
Is there any option to discover the devices with FQDN. In my case I have same device name in primary and secondary site, have different IP address and domain.
Example :- switch01.dc1.local (192.168.1.1) & switch01.dc2.local (192.168.2.1)
Even after creating the host file entry with fqdn, after adding both switch, first one get overwrite by second.
if there are any solution to this ??

Hi,this is not supported, we do not expect that 2 switches in company has exactly same names, it make no sense for us therefore we have not considered it during implementation. There is no workaround byplaying with /etc/hosts, it is about switch name itself, not about DNS records.
