Not Health status with V7000
Comments

Hi,
there is not yet implemented health status for V7000.
I am not able to say when that happens, it is all about our resources and priorities
Cheers,
Pavel -
Is Health Status implemented for any Storage device yet?
Adding this would allow very basic, but useful break/fix issue reporting to your already quite capable Performance monitoring features.
Thanks

It is implemented for all storages except SVC/Storwize and DS8k.
Even coming support of NetApp and Hitachi VSP-G/HUS-VM will have it. It will be released most probably next week. We had not time so far, although we know that it could be something quite helpful. We expect implementation of it in further release (Q3 2016)
Cheers,
Pavel -
I updated to the latest v1.35 and now see some health status. I am testing with a number of different devices (v7000 and SVC) but don't see a Health Status under all of them. Is there a Storwize version dependency?
Thanks

Hi,
if there is not anything in event log (mean all events are acknowleged) then SVC/Storwize do not have to appear in the health status page.
Use below code which show all storages there:
http://www.stor2rrd.com/download/svcconfig.pl.gz
Gunzip it and copy to /home/stor2rrd/stor2rrd/bin (755, stor2rrd owner)
-rw-rw-r-- 1 lpar2rrd staff 58079 Nov 21 15:12 bin/svcconfig.pl
If your web browser gunzips it automatically then just rename it: mv svcconfig.pl.gz svcconfig.pl
Once you copy there the script then kill all running svcperf processes.
It will appear there in 15 - 20 minutes then.
The fix will be included in 1.35-1.
Howdy, Stranger!
