Wrong operationg system displayed
Hi,
we have the problem, that a couple of x86 Suse Linux Enterprise Server 11.4 grouped by the wrong operating system.
In this case there a listed in the left menu under Server -> Solaris instead of Server -> LINUX like all other servers.
Any idea how that could happen and how we can fix this issue?
Thank you

Hi,
tail -1 /var/tmp/lpar2rrd*txt | cut -d : -f 1-7
-
on the agent side it was ment

here is the output from the agent:

It is identified as Linux.
On the server side:
cd /home/lpar2rrd/lpar2rrd
ls -ld data/*/*/lnxhost
-
$ ls -ld data/*/*/lnxhost
drwxr-xr-x 2 ruxj000 tb017 4096 Oct 11 14:18 data/Linux--unknown/no_hmc/lnxhost
drwxr-xr-x 2 ruxj000 tb017 4096 Oct 11 14:18 data/Linux/no_hmc/lnxhost
-
you see it under Solaris?
grep lnxhost tmp/menu.txt
-
L:no_hmc:Solaris:lnxhost:lnxhost:/lpar2rrd-cgi/detail.sh?host=no_hmc&server=Solaris--unknown&lpar=lnxhost&item=lpar&entitle=0&gui=1&none=none:::P:C

Hi,
pls one more command.
ls -ld data/*/*/lnxhost*
-
I have sent that command output already:
$ ls -ld data/*/*/lnxhost
drwxr-xr-x 2 ruxj000 tb017 4096 Oct 11 14:18 data/Linux--unknown/no_hmc/lnxhost
drwxr-xr-x 2 ruxj000 tb017 4096 Oct 11 14:18 data/Linux/no_hmc/lnxhost
-
but in last command is one important change - at the end is *
So try it again with * at the end:
ls -ld data/*/*/lnxhost* -
sorry here is the data:
drwxr-xr-x 2 user group 4096 Oct 11 14:18 data/Linux--unknown/no_hmc/lnxhost
drwxr-xr-x 2 user group 4096 Oct 11 14:18 data/Linux/no_hmc/lnxhost
drwxr-xr-x 2 user group 4096 Oct 11 14:10 data/Solaris--unknown/no_hmc/lnxhost--NMON--
drwxr-xr-x 2 user group 4096 Oct 11 14:10 data/Solaris/no_hmc/lnxhost--NMON--
that's maybe also the problem. I found now out, that I can see it in the left menu under LINUX and under Solaris sorted

It is identified as Solaris based on nmon data.
Could you send us nmon file as an example?
