Postgres repository database with hostssl and existing xormon database?
Hello there,
we only allow hostssl connections to all PostgreSQL databases (including the Xormon repository database). But during the installation we always get connections errors to the database. Can Xormon connect to PostgreSQL database with hostssl only in the pg_hba.conf?
The DB team already created the xormon user and the xormon database (and all other requirements like timescaleDB extension). It is possible to skip the db creation step during installation?

Hello,
Q1.
as of right now, we do not support SSL connection on the application side, that is planned for our March version 2.2.0.
Q2.
I guess the goal is to not use a superuser? We are adding an option to use a different user just for the initial set up and later having the app run under a less privileged user.

Hi damerva,
thanks for your answers.
Q1: Too bad it didn't come earlier.
Q2: yes, we do not want to use the postgres superuser (in conjunction with Q1)

understandable, it didn't come earlier because the want/need for it just wasn't there, most of our users just deploy the OVF and do no further configuration, only lately there have been couple request
