9009-22 IBM power9 servers CPU charts missing after 7.40 upgrade

After upgrading to lpar2rrd 7.40, our two 9009-22A and 9009-22G IBM p9 servers are failing to show CPU charts in all of their LPARs and their dual VIOS servers. I checked the HMC for "sample_rate=60" which was still set. We are using the NMON method of sending data to the lpar2rrd RHEL7 server. Is this a bug?

  • Hi,

can you upgrade to this version?

    https://www.lpar2rrd.com/download-temp/lpar2rrd-7.42-10.tar

    Let us know ...

  • The upgrade to 7.42 did not fix the problem. The server also does not show any total sections for all the LPARs like CPU,memory, overview, etc.

  • Hello,

    Send us logs.

Note a short problem description in the text field of the upload form.

cd /home/lpar2rrd/lpar2rrd # or where is your LPAR2RRD working dir

    tar cvhf logs.tar logs tmp/*txt tmp/*json tmp/hyperv_*

    gzip -9 logs.tar

    Send us logs.tar.gz via https://upload.lpar2rrd.com

You might even attach screenshots when it helps in understanding of the issue.

    Thank you

  • The logs have been uploaded

  • Any updates for this problem?

  • I found the problem as there were too many HMCs configured for the free version(max 4). I deleted the decommissioned HMCs and re-ran the load.sh to get the CPU charts back.

There is still no server "Overview" section for these 9009-22 servers just an LPAR section.

  • The "Overview" section is working now, so the whole problem was too many HMC connections.
