ReadOnly group

Hi to all,

ReadOnly group is missign on STOR2RRD (User management).

This group exist only on LPAR2RRD.

Is normal ?

Is possible to create a ReadOnly group on STOR2RRD too ?

  • Hi,

your right, it is not implemented.
It will be available in the next release where it will be a must because all storage configuration will be done through the UI.
  • Hi all,

I created an user called "monitor" and gave readonly permission.

The Default Dashboard is not showing to this user.

Someone could explain why this not showing

  • Hi,

add a graph to the dashboard (create your tabs and groups) by click on a start at each graph.
    Does it work?

Its works, now I understood that as dashboard works... I need create a dashboard per user.

I would like to create only on dashbord by user Admin that could be see for all users.

The "monitor" user would not be allowed to edit the default panel.
  • Hi,

no, this is not possible/implemented, each user has its own dashboard.
  • Hi Pavel,

I think an export-import or copy function might be a good idea for Dashboard.

It is often useful to align it across multiple users.

  • Hi,

it was possible in older dashboard implementation, but not in the actual one.
I created task for development, it will not happen early but we might do it in the future, thanks.
  • Thanks for reply and i hope that the new version its can be implemented.

There is other error with readonly accounts..

At the San Switch menu... not showed "total menu" its is possible see only the each san switch menu...
  • Hello,

    please download this patch:

Gunzip it and copy to /home/stor2rrd/stor2rrd/bin (755, stor2rrd owner)
    -rwxr-xr-x 1 stor2rrd stor2rrd  8720 Mar 17 14:54
If your web browser gunzips it automatically then just rename it: mv

Now members of ReadOnly group should see all Totals
  • tks its works
  • Confirmed for me too: its work.
