General question about stor2rrd and VF

Installed STOR2RRD version7.95 for monitoring 620, configured , connection test Ok, use snmpv3

620 created 3 VF + default , each context has switchname and fabricname ; one IP in default context ( this IP created new SAN switch )

In SAN configuration I select "VM" fabricname

As result after ./load/sh in left menu created SAN switch MAIN - that is default context switchname

But there are no others anywhere virtual switchname and fabricname . All ports all context visible .

In MAIN Configuration list correct port distribution between VF .

Is this the correct behavior stor2rrd or am I doing something wrong?

It would be desirable to see a list of all virtual switch .

I have a problem with my SANnav installation in Stor2rrd 7.90, the Kafka consumer deamon is not running.

System info:  Ubuntu 22.04.4 LTS (GNU/Linux 5.15.0-112-generic x86_64)

My (from the GUI) SANnav host connection test looks like this:

But, when a remote copy consistency group is stopped manually, whichever the state it is in, an event is not generated in the FlashSystem, a red arrow is shown in Stor2RRD but an alert does not get sent.

Is this expected? If it is expected, shouldn't that change? I guess everyone would want to know when a remote copy is stopped, even if intended.

after change faulty Brocade Access Gateway, S2RRD moved new switch from Access Gateway to Fabric_3 group.

Connection test with SNMPv3 is OK

fabricname is not set

I have an issue adding a DS8000 storage into the stor2rrd application.

I try to find any error in logs without success.

This stor2rrd works into a docker container with the dscli installed inside on it.

I got 7 switches, 1 independent, 3 on fabric A and 3 on fabric B. The main switch from fabric A doesn't appear on Fabric A... The other 2 switches act as AG and they appear on the right fabric (A). Same thing with fabric B, main switch appeas as a separete switch while the other 2 AG Switches on same fabric appear on the right fabric (B).

I got 2 stor2RRD running along here.... OVF one shows Fabrics right (the 3 from fabric A on Fabric A, the 3 from fabric B on fabric B), but the Docker one got this problem...

OVF installation, the one that's working right:

I don't know what to do, the Docker on was a clean install, no data migration. Any thoughts?

I have a strange one. I have changed a lot of alias.cfg entries, however one of them refuses to change. No matter what I have tried, I cannot get the gui to show the new entries.

I have changed

SANPORT:MDS-S01:fc2-9:old_hostname_alias

to

SANPORT:MDS-S01:fc2-9:new_hostname_alias 

but the the first entry remains. ./load.sh html an full load.sh, even rebooting the server does not help to clear the old alias.

The LAB consist in two brocade switches, each configured with two virtual fabric (VF:128 and VF:99).

The switches are connected with 8 link (4 per fabric) forming two ISL trunk.

SNMPv3 access to the switch make STOR2RRD aware of virtual fabrics port assignment but it fail on ISL detection on "not principal" switches.

Loking at the porterrshow command there are two CRC values:

crc_err: Number of frames with CRC errors received (Rx).

crc_g_eof: Number of frames with CRC errors with a good EOF received (Rx).

I can find CRC in graph if they are counted in "crc_g_eof". When CRC are only counted as "crc_err" they are not displayed in the graphs

As stated by the description, crc_err should be the total number of crc while crc_g_eof should be a subset of crc_err. In this case it should be better colletting the "total" counter.

Connection test is OK ( conntest.pl ), deleted system from GUI + SSh files, re-added it and still same issue.

I need snmpwalk command but when installing one from YUM (snmp-utils) and with provided snmp-perl - not work with built-in Perl (version mismatch). Using packages from perzl.org broke different dependencies in system.

Do you have any tips in such setup?

I updated the IP address in 'SAN device configuration' as the IP address of the Switch has changed.

I loaded the UI after a while, but an error is returned.
