This was solved via mail. In case anyone else has this problem, this was the solution: su - lpar2rrd cd lpar2rrd ls -l data/*/*/vmware.txt (this returned a lot of "vmware.txt" files which shouldn't be the case according to support) rm data/*/*/vmware.txt

I now found this in error.log-daemon, maybe it helps: RRDp::end can only be called after RRDp::start at /<lpar2rrd-path>/bin/lpar2rrd-daemon.pl line 6740.
