thanks for the quick reply Pavel.I will change my crontab entry
-
here is an example for data of a linux lpar2rrd agent: and here for a aix lpar:
-
okay, thank you for the answer
-
Hi Pavel, it's okay. I have changed my crontab so it runs every 5 minutes: 0,5,10,15,20,25,30,35,40,45,50,55 * * * * /home/xormon/lpar2rrd/load.sh > /home/xormon/lpar2rrd/load.out 2>&1 thanks for your support
-
thanks, that's a good hint. my load.sh script runs about 30secs. but there is no easy way to create the lpar2rrd client graphics only for a couple of clients?
-
Hi Pavel, the graphics are now generated correctly, after the initial data collect job was finished last night. I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you for your excellent support this year. It encourages us in the decision for lpar2rrd.

I have found a couple of files, but still no current memory graphic is shown. -rw-r--r-x 1 xormon xormon 3825840 Dec 19 12:03 ./Linux--unknown/no_hmc/lnx0223a--NMON--/cpu.mmm -rw-r--r-x 1 xormon xormon 3825840 Dec 19 12:03 ./Linux--unknown/no_hmc/lnx0223a--NMON--/lan-vnet45.mmm -rw-r--r-x 1 xormon xormon 3825840 Dec 19…

no new data, since the data migration, for example the client lnx0223a, is shown in the lpar2rrd gui. I have migrated the data on 13.12.2018 how can i check if the new data is collected by the new lpar2rrd server installation and why the graphics in the lpar2rrd gui doesn't show the new collected data (see the screenshot…

Hi Pavel, thanks for the response. in the log/daemon.out file I got now following messages: .... Wait for chld : 0 : 49 : 25245 : Wed Dec 19 09:46:08 2018 could not prepare filename uuid.txt in /home/xormon/lpar2rrd/data/Linux/no_hmc/lnx0223a/JOB/11081.cfg could not prepare filename uuid.txt in…

Hi, we install a new stor2rrd Server with stor2rrd version 2.41 on SLE 15. When I ran the load_sanperf.sh I got following Errors in the logs: $ tail error.log-*arz-fab* ==> error.log-barz-fab1 <== /home/xormon/stor2rrd/bin/san_stor_load.sh: 2018-12-03_17:40 : too many barz-fab1 processes: sanperf.pl, exiting…
-
okay, thank you I will. maybe that fact is something you can add to the documentation of the required packages on SLE 15?
-
Hi Jirka, I didn't find any perl-rrdtool with zypper and I really don't like to install on my future production SLE server an rpm-packages from the internet
-
Hi Pavel, I think that's the main problem. I got only following packages installed: $ rpm -qa | grep rrdtool rrdtool-devel-1.7.0-4.34.x86_64 rrdtool-1.7.0-4.34.x86_64 because there are no other zypper packages with the name rrdtool that makes for me sense to install: $ zypper se rrd Loading repository data... Reading…

thanks for the quick Response. It's a feature request for one of the next releases :#
-
Hi there, I found the solution for the Problem. the lpar2rrd data Directory is 100% full. After I have extended the filesystem and run the lpar2rrd/load.sh script. the logging for the lpar works again. Thanks anyway for your support
-
how do I get the Linux LPAR deleted from the "Removed" section and into the normal listed "LPAR" section. thanks
-
Hi Pavel, I have only used the search function to filter the results. The m6b managed System works fines and all other hostest Linux LPARs. Best regards, Andreas

okay, thank you any way and have nice New Year's Eve. See you 2018 :p

Hi Pavel, maybe I have deleted some lines in the output to hide some private information. here is the ls output: -rw-r--r-x 1 root root 3825840 Dec 28 08:00 data/9080-.../hmc0001a/lnx0a.rrm PS: Is there a possible way to provide only you some private information? Thanks!

thanks a lot

Hi Pavel, after I have upgrade yesterday at about 16:00, it looks much better: could you please provide us the rpms also for Power on Linux, AIX and so on. Thank you!

it's difficult to say. in my view it would be nice to now what is the amount of buffer and what is the memory available like in the /proc/meminfo MemAvailable: 467037064 kB I think it describes our point of view in the Linus Torvalds git commit as best:…

sure, here is the diagram screenshot from the memory consuption, that confuses us:

I'm really sorry. I have posted some data from the wrong linux server. Here is the output from the correct server: and the cat /proc/meminfo output is the same as above: sorry for the confusion
