Hi Juergen, you can still downgrade to 5.x, but we do not support it for fre users. I understand your disappointment, but you have to understand that development and support is not for free, we have to pay developers and other costs. Pricing : premium edition (only edition which covers your big infra) IBM Power 8k USD a year VMware 11k USD a year. 20 % discount if you order both, total 15 200 USD a year regarding your scripting above lpar2rrd data you have mentioned earlier. We can do such scripting for you as part of support sevices. Let me know if you need an official quote. Regards, Pavel

• Hi, it works as designed. Basically there is not possible tu update older data in RRDTool database files. It is a feature. You wrote data 1 month ahead. The it will start working in 1 month. All data inserts being refused now. Only what you can do is delete whole OS agent data history for that LPAR. Then it will start from…
• Hi, looks like they are unsupported VNXe as per http://www.stor2rrd.com/EMC-VNXe-support.htm : STOR2RRD does not support VNXe series1 models which do not have block implementation: VNXe 3100 VNXe 3150 VNXe 3300 Such storages do not provide performance data.
• Hi, 1. you can change pools.col manually 2. stop SMagent, SMmonitor (is already off), I am not sure why it is running as a service. Try to run "SMcli -d" afterwards to make sure that all is ok 3. Heatmap might be blank if there is no traffic above limit of necessary IOPS, refer to this:…
• Hi, at first try this: remove the oldest *perf* file here: ls -lt data/EMC-VNX/*perf* run ./load.sh to see if that resolved the issue If the issue persists then send us actually the oldes perf file: ls -lt data/EMC-VNX/*perf* https://upload.stor2rrd.com

• Hi, as soon as IBM releases a firmware which provides complet sets of perf stats. Actually only CPU and Port stats are available I think. http://www.stor2rrd.com/IBM-flashsystem-support.htm
• ok, I tested actual solution and sendmail ignores "from:" item and places there actuall Unix user name. how did you change mailfrom variable in AlertStor2rrd.pm and Xorux_lib.pm?
• Hi, yes, set smart host (DS) to your internal mail relay for example. Ask some else in you company how you do it anywhere else, there must be some company's standard.
• leave both. It is an operating system issue (not related to lpar2rrd), it is hard to support you without having access to system logs etc. Your Linux admin should be able to resolve that ...
• try to add root in allow file and remove denny file
• Hi, I am not sure what you have done but root cannot run crontab. I would add it into /var/adm/cron/cron.allow echo "root" >> /var/adm/cron/cron.allow But I am not sure if this work even for root user. Check also /var/adm/cron/cron.denny
• if you use the latest code 2.01 then there is definitelly user stor2rrd for HW alerting: bin/Xorux_lib.pm line 211 my $mailfrom = "stor2rrd";
• Hi, we do not store this metric actually. What value in "free -m" it represents?
• Hi, it is hardcoded, you can change it here: bin/AlertStor2rrd.pm lines 1691 and 140 my $mailfrom = "stor2rrd"; Bad thing is that you have to do it again after next upgrade. We will think about parametrisation for the future ...
• Hi, what metrict would you like to add?
• This is working: VOLUME:HDS-VSP-G600:00\:08\:01:test_alias1 VOLUME:HDS-VSP-G600:00\:06\:0A:test_alias2 Have you run this after that to apply the change immediatelly? ./load.sh html
• we will have soon something finished :) oVirt & KVM support.

• This is an operating system issue. We cannot support it, ask IBM support (supposse it is AIX).
• Hi, do you have entry lpar2rrd in cron.allow file?
• Hi, I suppose you use same OS level architecture on source and target (like Linux x86 vrs Linux x86 etc) if so the migration is easy. If not then it is much more complicated, we can provide you a script and a procedure but only if you were our customer. Same architecture: 1. Install & configure new LPAR2RRD instance in the…
