Hi Juergen, you can still downgrade to 5.x, but we do not support it for fre users. I understand your disappointment, but you have to understand that development and support is not for free, we have to pay developers and other costs. Pricing : premium edition (only edition which covers your big infra) IBM Power 8k USD a year VMware 11k USD a year. 20 % discount if you order both, total 15 200 USD a year regarding your scripting above lpar2rrd data you have mentioned earlier. We can do such scripting for you as part of support sevices. Let me know if you need an official quote. Regards, Pavel

  • Hi, 1. try to wait 1 day or so, reporting host configuration sometimes take longer for that storage type 2. if even after 1 day nothing (do Ctrl-F5 in the GUI) then switch to volume based host graphs, check "known issues" here: http://www.stor2rrd.com/host_docu.htm?1.4.3

  • Hi, disks stats is not there probably because we cannot get such data from the storage. I am not 100% sure (our developer responsible for that is on hollidays now) but otherwise we would included it. We always include disks stats if its available.

  • Hi, I do not think that on the VIOS (AIX) level we can get such stat by using std OS cmds. There is something on the HMC level how to get some VLAN stats as far as I remember, but its priority has never reached level to look into at least :(
  • sorry, I have prepared an answer but did not use "Post" button :) Hi, no idea We have already developed something for KVM years ago but it is unfinished, no time. We know there is a demand for that. Basically it is all about our time and priorities, actually most of our deveplopment resources consumes STOR2RRD product.

  • Hi, what is you product version? This should be already implemented in v5.00+
  • Hi, thanks, we will provide a fix soon. Double quotes causing a problem, looks like they are even in UUID string.
  • yes: http://www.lpar2rrd.com/VMware-counters.htm But upgrade is much better and easier way :)
  • Hi, ok, it took me a while to understand it :) problem is that you change conf_proc_units "regulary" on the midnight, right? Then it mosty works fine except yearly graph which uses daily MAX data. I am not sure if your solution will work generally better than the actual one, or if there is generally a solution for such…
  • Hello, we do not use port 924. We use 1 connection per 5 minutes whoich downloads all necessary data, no paralalization etc. Why do you think that this error is connected to stor2rrd?
  • You do not have set propriate couter level in Vmware. Upgrade to 5.01. There is used new method how to get data from VMware whoich does not care about any VMware setting. It will work after upgrade.
  • Hi, ok, I see the problem, your node name contains a space. This would not be a problem, problem is double quotes. Fix: 1. install the latest 2.01 2. get this fix: http://www.stor2rrd.com/download/LoadDataModule.pm.gz Gunzip it and copy to /home/stor2rrd/stor2rrd/bin (755, stor2rrd owner) -rwxr-xr-x 1 stor2rrd stor2rrd…
  • Hi, no, unfortunatelly we do not collect and save such information. Nothing from that.
  • what is your product version (lpar2rrd server)? do you have already some OS agents installed and running? How many if so? Hundreds? is it still failing? can you check the GUI if you see some data at least?
  • what is your product version? GUI --> left menu --> next to the last item
  • ok, that explains that, agent upgrade was done but the old agent was still running.
  • I simply does not belive that :) we have checked that in a customer environment with hundreds lpars where OS agents are upgraded since v1 and all lpars have packets. Upgrade cannot have influence on that. Could it be that difference is Operating system (linux vrs AIX, AIX 6.1 vrs 7.x ...) Can you have a look. This is…
