Hi Juergen, you can still downgrade to 5.x, but we do not support it for fre users. I understand your disappointment, but you have to understand that development and support is not for free, we have to pay developers and other costs. Pricing : premium edition (only edition which covers your big infra) IBM Power 8k USD a year VMware 11k USD a year. 20 % discount if you order both, total 15 200 USD a year regarding your scripting above lpar2rrd data you have mentioned earlier. We can do such scripting for you as part of support sevices. Let me know if you need an official quote. Regards, Pavel

• are global remote flashes still listed in tmp/snapshotting-status/<storage name>.txt ?
• Hi, yep, we are aware of that, a lot of users using it, no one has ever wanted to exclude LAN traffic.I understand that lan/san are separated worlds. From implementation side it can be easilly excluded based on some settings.I have added to our todo, actually we are not able to look at that, I would say we could have time…
• ignore that.have disappeared remote flashes from global copy pairs? It could take 10 - 20 minutes.
• Try this fix for that.Solution is exclude flashes created by global mirroring. They do not have to be monitored. If anything is wrong with them then global mirror reports problem which we present. http://www.stor2rrd.com/download-static/svcconfig.pl.gz Gunzip it and copy to /home/stor2rrd/stor2rrd/bin (755, stor2rrd owner)…
• sorry, no update yet.it sounds quite complex, we are waiting for an anwer of our expert.we will let you know during this week.
• both times should be same, both are from HMC. Send a screenshot example.
• Hi, yes it is compatible, just one thing needs to be done if you are at rrdtool 1.7under lpar2rrd account (replace $HOMELPAR by /home/lpar2rrd/lpar2rrd if you have it installed in this path) touch $HOMELPAR/lpar2rrd-cgi/mon.out chmod 777 $HOMELPAR/lpar2rrd-cgi/mon.out touch $HOMELPAR/bin/mon.out chmod 777…
• Hi, check below lpar2rrd agent data file what is transfered and compare it to entstat data. tail -1 /var/tmp/lpar2rrd*txt Note there could be filetered 2 files, use the one without "ps"in its name. You will see if there are correctly transfered data counters like in nthis example:...…
• I know :)This is not definitelly only upgrade which resets TZ, we seen it many times in the past already.
• do you see all adapters here: 1. iostat -Dsal 5 1 | grep fcs 2. and here (note 2 files might pass that filtering, use the one without "ps" string inside) tail -1 /var/tmp/lpar2rrd*txt
• Hi, yes , it is possible of course :) I will place it on our TODO list but do not expect anything soon, next year perhaps.
• HMC upgrade resets timezone often.Note: changing TZ require HMC reboot!
• wrong time on the HMC.Check last update time, it is quite different in both examples. su - lpar2rrdcd /home/lpar2rrd/lpar2rrd./bin/sample_rate.sh HMC time and lslprutil time must be more less same for that server.
• thanks for posting solution.Looks like a problem was in VMware.
• thanks for sharing solution!
• looking into that but got a problem: For flash copy we have these statuses:* idle_or_copied … normal (green) * preparing … warning (orange) * prepared … warning (orange) * copying … normal (green) * stopped … error (red) * suspended … warning (orange) * stopping … warning (orange) just *stopped status is red.If we change…
• Hi, I did not write next release on purpose :)it is going to be implemented, it actually has high priority for us.I could let you know as soon as we have ready if you want to test it.
• Hi Dariusz, IBM DS8k, IBM XIV and HDS VSP-G health status implementation is planned for this year.Just EMC VMX will be then left. Problem is that VMAX does not provide its healt status through standard REST API (just even log is there, we present it since v2.30). Generaly we are not aware of any method how to get it from…
• Hi, that happens on AIX often ... check Apache error_log (find /var -name error_log ) Basically you need to adopt settings in the docu for Apache 2.4: http://www.lpar2rrd.com/install.htm?4.1.0 --> Web Check if apache user (apache/httpd) has read rights for /home/lpar2rrd/lpar2rrd, /home/lpar2rrd, /home if so then check…
• we got other user complaining same with : GM with Change Volume it is not about logs, it is about how to handle states (i.e. ok/warning/error) ok, we will not threat it as error in this situations.we make a fix during tomorrow and let you know.
• is that related only to Global Mirror, right? Then stopped does nt meanerror status. That is clear. Metro mirror should not stop, right? What about flash copy generally? That is your case, righ? Shall we behave same? i.e. stopped == ok
• Hi, do you say that stopped status is ok in this case?
• Is that happen around 11/12th of Sep on all switches? Anything has been changed on stor2rrd side? send us logs for verification if there is any lack of system resource etc. Note a short problem description in the text field of the upload form.cd /home/stor2rrd/stor2rrd # or where is your STOR2RRD working…
• what is difference between working and not working switches?FOS? other HW?I am afraid we cannot help you more, we have tried everything we know.Try Brocade support.
• hi, yep we know about it already for some time. What you see is some storage HW limit == hard capacity (1.2PB).We are investigate it ... we will let you know.
• do you have more switches? Are they working fine?
• as per manual, do not you use snmp host access list?if so, is stor2rrd host allowed? http://www.stor2rrd.com/pics/storage/san-switch-cfg.jpg
