  • Hi, upgrade to the latest version, it is fixed there. https://download.xormon.com/ng/xormon-ng-1.6.39.tar.gz https://xormon.com/xormon-upgrade.php
  • Hi, in stor2rrd you will always see only default switch and under it all ports from all Virtual Fabrics. We know it is not the best solution. In our new brand tool Xormon NG, we do it better. There you can configure each Virtual Fabric/Switch separately. You can specify VF:ID you want to monitor. https://xormon.com/
  • Hi, send us logs. UI --> settings --> Logs --> support logs: follow the form Send us generated file via https://upload.xormon.com Note a reference pls. Specify alias of the switch in AG mode.
  • Hi, no, only you two have reported this problem so far. Can you send us some examples how does it look like in the stor2rrd UI? Mainly Health status view under the device after an alert has been sent. You can send it here or via email: support@stor2rrd.com
  • Hi, we've never seen an event like this before. Send us logs. Note a short problem description in the text field of the upload form. cd /home/stor2rrd/stor2rrd # or where is your STOR2RRD working dir tar cvhf logs.tar logs tmp/*txt gzip -9 logs.tar Send us logs.tar.gz via https://upload.stor2rrd.com Regards Karel
  • Hi, is that really an Access Gateway switch? WWN provides your switch, this has nothing to do with stor2rrd.
  • Hi, the Access Gateway switches reports 1 instead of their WWN. "fabrics" : { "Access Gateway" : { "switches" : { "MXG610S_FC1b" : { "fabric_wwn" : "1", "switch_wwn" : "1" }, "MXG610S_FC2a" : { "fabric_wwn" : "1", "switch_wwn" : "1" }, "MXG610S_FC2b" : { "fabric_wwn" : "1", "switch_wwn" : "1" } } }, But your switch…

  • Hi, try to set fabric name "Access Gateway" for this switch, then wait at least an hour. Let us know.
  • Hi, what is your stor2rrd version?

  • Hi, ok, I'm seeing it for the first time. Definitely ask your vendor support why it works with SNMPv2c but not with SNMPv3. It must be something with the wrong SNMPv3 configuration on the switch. We can do nothing with that in stor2rrd when switch doesn't provide required information.
  • Hi Ahmed, Does it work with SNMPv2c and not with SNMPv3 on the same switch? Can you prove that? Send us the output for both versions. /usr/bin/snmpwalk -v 3 -u stor2rrd -l noAuthNoPriv -a MD5 -x DES 10.157.43.2 1.3.6.1.2.1.1.5 /usr/bin/snmpwalk -v 2c -c <community_string> 10.157.43.2 1.3.6.1.2.1.1.5
  • It doesn't matter if you use SNMP v2c or v3. This OID must return the name of the switch in both cases. It is not about stor2rrd, but about your switch which doesn't provide the required information.
  • This OID (1.3.6.1.2.1.1.5.0 - sysName) should return the name of that switch. Ask your vendor support why this is not happening.
  • Hi Ahmed, try this cmd in the cmd line and send us the output.
  • That's not what I asked for.
  • Hi Ahmed, try the snmpwalk command from the second screenshot in the command line. It should return a name of this switch, but in your case it returns "No more variables...". What is a model and firmware of this switch?
  • Hi, switch must be removed from the more destinations as it is described in the docu i sent to you in the previous message. I still do not see any reason to use exclamation marks...
  • Hi Ahmed, why are you using exclamation marks? Is there a reason for that? Follow this docu, remove wrong switch 'Wrong Type (should be OCTET STRING): NULL': https://stor2rrd.com/how_to_remove_storage.php
  • Hi, there was a switch with the name 'Wrong Type (should be OCTET STRING): NULL'. It was probably caused by the wrong switch configuration. As i saw in your logs, you have some not working switches in your configuration.
  • Hi, su - lpar2rrd cd /home/stor2rrd/stor2rrd/data rm -rf 'Wrong Type (should be OCTET STRING): NULL' cd .. ./load.sh Wait till the end. After that refresh stor2rrd UI (ctrl+F5). Let us know if that solved the issue.
  • Hi, we would need to see some additional files: Note a short problem description in the text field of the upload form. cd /home/stor2rrd/stor2rrd # or where is your STOR2RRD working dir tar cvhf logs.tar tmp/LAN-totals/* gzip -9 logs.tar Send us logs.tar.gz via https://upload.stor2rrd.com

Here or via email (support@stor2rrd.com). su - stor2rrd cd /home/stor2rrd/stor2rrd # or where is your STOR2RRD working dir date ls -l etc/alias.cfg grep "MDS-S01" etc/alias.cfg | egrep "fc2-9" ls -l data/MDS-S01/PORTS.cfg grep "fc2-9" data/MDS-S01/PORTS.cfg ls -l tmp/menu.txt…
  • Hi, thanks for confirmation.
  • Hi, use this file as a fix: https://download.stor2rrd.com/patch/7.61-1-21-g2f4a1/sanperf.pl.gz Gunzip it and copy to /home/stor2rrd/stor2rrd/bin (755, stor2rrd owner) -rwxr-xr-x 1 stor2rrd stor2rrd 140211 Apr 3 11:39 sanperf.pl If your web browser gunzips it automatically then just rename it: mv sanperf.pl.gz sanperf.pl…
