Our LPAR2RRD installation is showing timestamps on the rrdtool graphs in what looks like UTC instead of EDT where we are located in. I checked the timezone setting on the LPAR and all of the HMC's, and they are all set to EDT. I'm not sure where else to look to set the correct timezone, any help would be appreciated. This is LPAR2RRD version 7.70 on an AIX 7.3 LPAR. We are moving over to XorMon soon, but are trying to get this fixed until then.

IBM HMC V11 R1 disabled port 12443 and enabled port 443 for the HMC REST API's. LPAR2RRD v8.06 doesn't seem to support port 443 for HMC REST API, is there a fix for this?

All other graphs for CPU OS, CPU Queue, Memory, Paging1/2, LAN and SAN are not working/collecting since the OS upgrade.

Checking on the forum here to see if anyone has encountered this after upgrading from AIX 7.2 to AIX 7.3.

Have updated to latest lpar2rrd agent rpm version on the AIX lpars as well (lpar2rrd-agent-8.00-0.ppc).

I followed the documentation to install and configure LPAR2RRD on my CentOS and I'm having the following problem. When I open the web page and try to add an HMC, I get the following error:

Host configuration save - fail

File /home/lpar2rrd/lpar2rrd/etc/web_config/hosts.json cannot be written by webserver, check apache user permissions: Read-only file system

On Linux I have disabled SELinux:

Has anyone had the same problem as me and can help me solve it?

We are experiencing an issue with LPAR2RRD after an IP address change on one of our managed systems, and I would appreciate guidance on the best approach to resolve this.

**Environment:**

- LPAR2RRD version: 7.95

- Platform: IBM Power Systems (AIX)

**Problem Description:**

Until November 22nd, 2024, performance data for LPARs hosted on physical machine "S0-P09-15" was being collected correctly. Since November 22nd, we now see two separate entries in the LPAR2RRD web interface under "IBM Power Systems":

- A physical machine named "10.0.0.15" (the old IP address)

- A physical machine named "S0-P09-15" (the current hostname)

These both refer to the same physical server. The issue appears to have been triggered by a change in how the system is identified.

**Current Situation:**

On the LPAR2RRD server, we have two separate data directory trees:

3. How can I prevent this from happening in the future? Should I configure aliases in `etc/alias.cfg`?

Any guidance on the recommended approach would be greatly appreciated. I want to ensure we preserve our historical performance data while maintaining data integrity.

i have run the script which i am attaching

BUT WHEN WE TRY TO SEE IF THE lpar2rrd RUNNING OR NOT IT SHOWS IT IS NOT RUNNING

ps -ef | grep -i lpar2rrd

we do run lpar2rrd 7.92 free and updated the agent from 8.00-2 to 8.10-0. Since then, /var/tmp gets filled with three files

lpar2rrd-agent-(lpar2rrd_servername)-root.txt, .txtorig and -root-last.txt

at a rate of several hundred megabytes per hour. As far as I can tell, all files contain identical data, and the same as the agent.logfile (defined in crontab).

Is running agent 8.1 and server 7.92 a valid combination?

I update my vcenter from 7.0.3 to 8.0.3 and after that, the lpar2rrd monitoring doesn't work.

I make some actions to remediate:

• upgrade lpar2rrd version from 7.5 to 7.95
• upgrade Os version to Rocky Linux 8.10

here is a lpar example : i set up 1 virtual processor , and 0.8 processing units ,

836 AIX lpars and another 500+ Linux servers in the environment and performance issues run queue goes above 100 and sometimes recovers within an hour. This past weekend was like that for nearly 60 hours.

So i do this command : tail /var/tmp/lpar2rrd-realt-error.log

But i don't know what can i do ?

7.90 - all standalone linux have duplicated entries. I do not know when the issue happened. But lately there was an update 7.6 -> 7.9.

It turned out that new MS Edge browsers do not support basic auth popup's. When I access lpar2rrd page I immediately get

Unauthorized

This server could not verify that you are authorized to access the document requested. Either you supplied the wrong credentials (e.g., bad password), or your browser doesn't understand how to supply the credentials required.

No popup for log/pass is visible. I found a workaround to enable basic auth, but it is quite hard to change it on every workstation.

Normally I would implement kerberos authentication in apache, but since I am using docker, changing /etc/http files is not good approach.

Do you have any idea how to address this issue? I had a simmilar problem with accessing https - as a workaround I setup haproxy as frontend with ssl support. This time haproxy wont help, as auth is performed internally by lpar2rrd container.

This same thing happened to me in previous versions, right now we have installed:

LPAR2RRD 7.92 (Linux OVA)

LPAR2RRD Agent 7.90-1 (OS agent check OK)

Client environment: AIX with VIO

In LPAR2RRD I cannot see the information collected from the agents (installed only in AIX VIOs)

Agent side OK, the information is generated and the server agent collects it but the corresponding tabs are not displayed. Example of one:

As a curiosity, the only tab that is not storing anything on the server is "JOBS"

No errors on agent side:

It had not been working for a while, on September 14, I updated LPAR2RRD + agents to the latest version and restarted lpar2rrd-daemon and for a short time it graphed (approximately 20 minutes)

In the daemon error log you can see entries from the last daemon restart, that day I did several and only the last one registered an error (the first error I don't know why it originated):

Today I restarted the daemon again (kill with user lpar2rrd + run load.sh) and it gave me the same error as on September 14, but with today's date (sorry, I don't have the screenshot)

Is this normal behaviour, or is there something that I have missed?

All are setup with HMC CLI (SSH) as the REST API always fails.

We see a test for this in the code but we think the test is wrong.

on lines 2625 and 3918 it says:

We think it should be converted to:

Notice the exclamation mark on the second $wpar_id I am not a perl programmer so I cannot realy say if this is the rigth solution.

I have two instances of lpar2rrd - 7.70 and 7.80-1.

In the old 7.70 I can see menu like RMCcheck CPU workload Estimateor, heatmap under IBM Power Systems:

It is missing in 7.80-1:

I dont see anything in 7.80-1 release notes that could cause that.

I cleared cache in webbrowser.

Could you please help here?
